Booking & Payment

• Orders over £300: a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date (full payment also welcome at booking).
   
  • Wedding cakes: the final balance is due no later than 8 weeks before delivery.
  • Celebration cakes: the final balance is due no later than 6 weeks before delivery.

• Orders £300 or less: full payment at booking.
• Discussing your order does not reserve your date. A booking is confirmed only once payment is received and acknowledged in writing.
• Invoices are payable within 48 hours. After this time, the date may be released to other clients.

Wedding Cake “Save the Date”

• You may hold your wedding date with a £150 non-refundable Save the Date fee (design can follow later).
• Once the design is finalised, the £150 is deducted from the order total 

How to Place an Order

Include: (1) occasion, (2) servings, (3) flavours (organic option available), (4) design details/colour palette/reference images, (5) date, delivery address & time, (6) your full name and best contact.

Customisation & Artistic Style 

Eclectic Luxuries does not copy or directly reproduce another artist work.

Lead Times

• Celebration cakes: please allow 6-8 weeks in advance 
• Wedding cakes: please allow 6–8 months in advance
  Last-minute orders may be possible subject to availability.

Responsibility After Delivery

All cakes are produced and delivered in perfect condition. Once delivered and signed-off, responsibility passes to the client/venue. We cannot accept liability for damage arising from handling, storage, temperature, transport by third parties, or display conditions.

• Delivery only. Collection is not available at this time to ensure product integrity.
• Delivery fees are calculated by location and confirmed at booking. Where venues require timed access, please provide accurate contact details, address, room/stand info, loading instructions and a clear set-up time window.
• For wedding cakes, if on-site set-up is required (stands, florals, table styling), this will be agreed in writing in advance and may incur an additional fee.
• A responsible adult/venue representative must be available to receive and sign for the delivery. Photos may be taken at hand-over for quality records.

Each commission is bespoke, perishable and reserved specifically within our studio diary. Our cancellation terms reflect the reserved date, design and admin time, planning, ingredients, materials or specialist items ordered, and the limited ability to accept replacement commissions at short notice.

Booking Fees, deposits and Save the Date fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Client cancellations:

• Wedding cakes cancelled within 8 weeks of delivery are payable in full and payments already made are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Occasion and celebration cakes cancelled within 6 weeks of delivery are payable in full and payments already made are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Orders accepted within 4 weeks of delivery are classed as late orders. Due to the short lead time, full payment is required at booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

• If an order over £300 has been paid in full and is cancelled before the relevant cancellation deadline above, any refund will be limited to payments made above the 50% non-refundable and non-transferable Booking Fee.

• Earlier cancellations may be reviewed individually, but Booking Fees, deposits and Save the Date fees remain non-refundable and non-transferable. Any refund is at the discretion of Eclectic Luxuries and will depend on work already carried out, design/admin time, ingredients, materials or specialist items ordered, and whether the date can reasonably be rebooked.

Postponements: postponements are treated as cancellations unless Eclectic Luxuries agrees in writing to transfer the booking to a new date. Any transfer is subject to availability and at our discretion; new pricing may apply if costs change.

Supplier cancellation: in the extremely unlikely event we must cancel due to severe illness, emergency or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund of sums paid and, where possible, assistance with reputable alternatives.

Your UK consumer rights remain unaffected. The above reflects exemptions for perishable and customised goods.

Our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, almonds and other nuts. While great care is taken, a 100% allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests of allergy risks and to provide accurate dietary requirements in writing at booking.

Allergen information will be confirmed before the order is finalised and provided again at delivery or handover.

On request, we offer organic ingredient upgrades (where feasible) and low/no artificial colour options. Availability and pricing will be confirmed in your quotation.

Data Controller
The data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website and during the enquiry and booking process is Gabriela Malinger, Founder & Cake Artist of Eclectic Luxuries – Artisan Couture Cakes, based in Glenrothes, Fife, United Kingdom.

We collect only the data needed to quote, book, deliver and invoice (e.g., name, contact details, order specifics, venue information).

• Basis: contract performance and legitimate interest (customer service, records).
• Storage: securely retained for legal/accounting purposes, then deleted when no longer required.
• Sharing: limited to essential service providers (e.g., payment processors) and never sold.
• Your rights: access, rectification, erasure (where applicable), restriction and complaint to the ICO.
